The BIG rocket is from a 1996 group project constructed by Ralph Roberts, Scott Spoerlein,  and Alan Clippard.   The rocket, named Totally Insane is now in the possession of Ralph Roberts.  How high can it go?  The simplest answer is actually another question - How much money do you have?  The rocket could probably fly over 7,000 feet in it's maximum motor configuration.  More technical data and flight history is located below the pictures on this page.

Second Flight: July 7th 1996 ( at LDRS 15) 

Motors 1-K1100, 2-I211s and 4-I284s  - Note: Due to a staging failure, the I motors did not light and the rocket only went 388 ft.

Third Flight: Sept 13th, 1997 Alt 3150 ft. 

Motors 1-Kosdon L1860 and 4 Aerotech I284s. Perfect flight and recovery.
