Williams Farm launch site - Midland, NC

The Williams Farm site is located just East of HWY 601 halfway between Concord and Monroe, NC across from the large Corning optical fiber plant. The address is 16620 Hopewell Church Road. Take a turn off of HWY 601 on either Drake Rd or Kiser Rd, both these roads dead end into Hopewell Church Rd. Take a right on Hopewell Church Rd and follow it to the large white farm house with a tin roof and red gate.
The field is actually a grass airstrip for the farmers. There are crops on the sides of the runway so we are limited to flying from late October to late May when the crops are not in. The field is rectangular with the longer dimension in the east-west direction. The waiver is 4,000 feet. This site will support motors up to J impulse.
We are happy to say that the club has an agreement with Mr. Williams that will allow us to fly there, except when crops are in the field (roughly, July-September). Please continue to respect the property of Mr. Williams while we are his guests. Obey the site rules and follow the safety code. If we do this we should be able to continue to fly at this field.
