We came back with more than we left with! Doug can attest to the fact that I can pack a car with rockets - and then some!
That large rocket in the middle with the Medusa style nozzle is called NANS (Not Another Nike Smoke) and flew to 2700-3000' estimated on J540R. The rocket was setup for single ejection and descended from apogoee on a 6' (diameter) hemi that Paul Phillips made for me. The parachute caught thermals and literally the rocket hung in the air and went up at one point. The rocket spent roughly 5 mins in the air after ejection. Also visible in this picture on the left are my "skirt fin rocket" (Funnel fin), my Sword of Damacles, and my SlimShot test rocket. The orange rocket on the right is Doug's famous $5 (or $10) rocket that he flew quite a bit until it crashed last year.
