ROCC 2024-2025 Launch Schedule:

NO launch in May due to the wheat. We hope to fly in June. 

 

 All launches are at the Midland, NC site unless otherwise stated.*

Here are some other launch opportunities in our area:

ICBM & ROSCO, better known as Rocketry South Carolina, flies near Dalzelle, SC., Just NE of Shaw AFB.  More information can be gotten at their site HERE

The Saturn Rocketry Club in Hendersonville is currently switching their launch field. As soon as we know where they land we will post it. Their FB site is HERE

NC Rocketry flies at Bayboro, NC in the northeast part of the state, information is HERE

 Set-up starts at about 9:30, launches commence about 10:30. Field closes about 60 min. before local dusk so we can clean up. Watch the site front page for specifics. Also visit us on FaceBook. You can also check for the FAA NOTAM at https://notams.aim.faa.gov/notamSearch/nsapp.html#/ and using KCLT (Charlotte) as the location. This will give you the starting and ending times for HP flights.

Adding pictures to the Photo Gallery should work now

Two weeks ago Carla Linker (Bill's wife) pointed out that she couldn't add pictures. Turns out the Gallery software was a bit too secure.
I've created an Album named Winter2005 which will allow any logged in user to create their own sub albums and upload pictures.
Logged in users can comment on pictures in any album.
Read on for the basic steps.
To start with, you must be logged in to create an album. The log in boxes for user name and password are on the right hand side of the main page, under the box titled "Other Stories."
Click on Photos in the banner at the top of the page.
Next, click on the album "Winter2005." After this album opens up, in the top right corner of the album, you should see a drop down box labelled "admin options." Select "new nested album." A new page will load, showing an un-named album, with the same drop down box. Now select properties, and give your album a name and description. Be sure to apply changes (the button is all the way down at the bottom.) When you're done, close this window.
Next, go back to the "admin options" drop down again and select "add photos".
A new window will open up that will let you select pictures from you hard drive and give them captions. When you have selected your pictures, click the upload button and be patient.
Then sit back and enjoy.
