May 2005 Launch cancelled, Equipment Clean-up day instead

Sorry, no launch this month, no suitable fields available. Even though we were cleared to fly at the locust city park/elementary school the area they cleared of trees has not been planted in grass. There is no way we could walk through al the tree debris and mud puddles to retrieve rockets safely. So, we will cancel the launch and schedule an equipment clean-up day at the farm to get ready for next month's launch back at the farm.
Lets plan on the equipment clean up for between 3-5 on Sat, the 21st.
I will check with Kip to make sure it is OK.

There is one other alternate site we can go look at as well on Sat at the Oakdale City Park, they have cleared land to build ball fields on and Julius Burris contacted some in charge and pending my official letter to the City of Oakdale Park and Recreation we may get permission.

We can also have a general meeting and discuss the summer and fall schedule and plan for the campout in June at the farm. I am sure if some of you rocket hunters and gatherers can go search for lost rockets. Also, bring stuff to sale and trade, sort of a rocket flea market; post a comment if you have something special to sale.

For the clean up day if we could paint the pads and clean clips and rods and organize boxes.

Sand-paper, good Rust-o-lium red paint, 1/8 stainless launch rods needed.
Bring your dremel tool with a wire brush and safety glasses, they work great.

We need one other large storage box to put all our miscellaneous stuff in, if someone would like to donate a large plastic container, wheels or no wheels and has lid that can be locked on. (Not the kind that just lies on top) These boxes can tip over and lids blow off in transport, I am trying to avoid having to pick up the stuff if it tips over.

We will have the T-Shirts there to sale.

If you can make it email or call Ralph (roccprez@prodigy.net)
