NAR Sport Launch, O'burg May 24-26

(Bumped to top of list)
ROCC Members - one of the largest NAR launches of the year is coming to Orangeburg, SC on Memorial Day weekend - National Sport Launch 2008. For those new to the Hobby, this is really a special event. Flyers from all over the country will attend this launch and will fly everything from 1/2 A's to N motors.

PLEASE, we need volunteers to help with range duties and general goings-on... please hit the "Read More" button...

This is a 3 day launch starting Saturday 24 at 10:00 AM and going through 3:00 PM Monday (including a night launch on Sat). O'burg has a 10,000 ft waiver - so plenty of room to fly just about anything you want.

There is more details at this website - http://www.nsl2008.org/

Our Orangeburg Partners (ROSCO) need our help. Not only should we attend and fly - but they need some Volunteers to assist with the launch - from set up to tear down. I was also thinking that maybe we could assemble a team to head up Range Duty for 2 shifts - one on Sunday and one on Monday. A shift is 2 hours - so we can either split it up or we can just pull the 2 - 2 hours shifts. Those that vounteer and do both shifts will get a special NSL 2008 Tee Shirt. We need at least 5 people for Range Duty - 2 people to act as Range Safety Officers - inspecting rockets, 1 Pad Manager and 1 Launch Control Officer and 1 Asst. LCO.

Please come and see me at the launch this weekend or send me an e-mail if you are interested - tharing1@yahoo.com.

Thanks

Todd Haring
