Opportunity Lost with the Clean-Up day- Ralph,Club editorial

Brad, Doc, Roy, Ralph, Todd and Mark Canepa were the only attendees at the May ROCC clean-up day yesterday. It was very successful and our launch equipment is on its way to the NSL Launch.
Doc and Roy worked hard on clean-up and repair, I focused on clearing the grass around the magazine and organization and checkout of the launch equipment and Brad worked with our welder on a second motor storage magazine. A lot more work could have been accomplished but no one else showed. Hopefully, that means our ROCC members are going to the NSL launch next weekend. ROCC members will be asked to work two 2 hour shifts both Sunday and Monday. I hope those who go can help, will. Rocket clubs are an all-volunteer group, we don't get paid and we get by on the minimal club fees and dues we ask for. People ask for activities outside of launches, well we had one and nobody but the diehards showed.
Be sure that the next time you all attend a launch be sure to thank the volunteers who work so hard to keep the clubs going and always feel free to step-up and help yourself. Maybe the rocket-gods will smile on you one day when you need it.
