The Saturn Rocketry Club in Hendersonville is currently switching their launch field. As soon as we know where they land we will post it. Their FB site is HERE

Set-up starts at about 9:30, launches commence about 10:30. Field closes about 60 min. before local dusk so we can clean up. Watch the site front page for specifics. Also visit us on FaceBook. You can also check for the FAA NOTAM at https://notams.aim.faa.gov/notamSearch/nsapp.html#/ and using KCLT (Charlotte) as the location. This will give you the starting and ending times for HP flights.

April Launch Details

The April Launch is coming up quick.
Camping:
Kip as allowed us to camp out on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18. I had a few people ask me about that so for those planning on camping you can make your plans accordingly.
Yard Sale:
Have stuff you need to sell? Bring it out on Saturday, April 18th. This is a good way to unload your unused stuff and to finance your new projects!
Night Launch:
The night launch will be scheduled for Saturday, April 18. We will keep the regular waiver open until approx 7 pm, and the night time waiver will start at 8 pm. So that way we can enjoy the best part of the day in the afternoon. That way it will give us an hour to set up for the night time launch.
Plastic Model Conversion:
If anyone built Plastic Model Conversions we will launch them Saturday, April 18th sometime after 12pm.

ADDITIONAL...  remember that if you're going to participate in the night launch please read the rules for the night waiver HERE

It is advisable to have flashlights for everyone in your party that will be out on the field, and it really helps if you can use a red gel on the lens... it will help to preserve your night vision.

Last year we were treated to an ISS pass on Saturday night, it's a bit too early to tell but I'll check back closer to the event and post the results.
