Here are some other launch opportunities in our area:

ICBM & ROSCO, better known as Rocketry South Carolina, flies near Dalzelle, SC., Just NE of Shaw AFB.  More information can be gotten at their site HERE

The Saturn Rocketry Club in Hendersonville is currently switching their launch field. As soon as we know where they land we will post it. Their FB site is HERE

NC Rocketry flies at Bayboro, NC in the northeast part of the state, information is HERE

 Set-up starts at about 9:30, launches commence about 10:30. Field closes about 60 min. before local dusk so we can clean up. Watch the site front page for specifics. Also visit us on FaceBook. You can also check for the FAA NOTAM at https://notams.aim.faa.gov/notamSearch/nsapp.html#/ and using KCLT (Charlotte) as the location. This will give you the starting and ending times for HP flights.

February 17th & 18th Pre-flight info - Updated 2/16

Weather is still holding for Midland this weekend, 2/17 & 2/18, with Saturday being the windier day. As Winnie the Pooh said, it'll be blustery.

It looks like Ken is with us on Saturday, his website calendar says he's in VA at NOVAR on Sunday. Not guite sure about it, the 17th has rolled off of the calendar it looks like. Maybe he'll chime in here.

Setup will be at 10, flying at 11 till 5 PM unless it's just too windy and folks peter out. Highs in the mid 50's both days.

I'll have NAR L2 written tests with me on Saturday if anyone needs to take one, chime in here if you're looking for that. I know I had one that couldn't make it last time.

There is a small chance of a rain shower early Saturday morning but it doesn't look like it'll scuttle us.
