Set-up starts at about 9:30, launches commence about 10:30. Field closes about 60 min. before local dusk so we can clean up. Watch the site front page for specifics. Also visit us on FaceBook. You can also check for the FAA NOTAM at https://notams.aim.faa.gov/notamSearch/nsapp.html#/ and using KCLT (Charlotte) as the location. This will give you the starting and ending times for HP flights.

ROCC Update for this weekend, 4/20 & 4/21/2024

Update Friday Noon:
Weather is still holding steady, Saturday still looks to be the best day. Also Ken will be with us Saturday, he's at a different launch on Sunday. .
For those doing Cert Level flights, watch the winds carefully, consider JL chute releases, etc. The wind for Saturday will be toward the south tree line and predicted at up to 10 mph.
Set-up will be 9:30-10:30, field should be open after that. We'll go till 5 or until we get rain.
Sunday still looks very wet so we'll make this one a Saturday Only launch.
See you there!
TB/dr
Currently Saturday is looking cloudy with a small possibility of some rain after 3 in the afternoon, increasing the later in the day you go. Winds are heading south at 7 MPH.

Sunday is looking like a washout with rain between 75% to 90% all day.

Ken is slated to be with us on Saturday only.

If this weather pattern holds we'll launch on Saturday ONLY.

As always, more to come. Set-up about 9:30, fly ASAP until 5 or we get rain encroaching. We'll probably keep fewer pads out so if we need to strike quickly we can get that accomplished.
