You can also check for the FAA NOTAM at https://notams.aim.faa.gov/notamSearch/nsapp.html#/ and using KCLT (Charlotte) as the location. Attention: Midland Field CLOSED for the season

Attention ROCC'ers...

I got word from Kip through Ralph, the Midland Farm site is Closed for the season.
As you know if you've been to the last couple launches the wheat is shooting up like crazy due to the double nitrogen dose it got, so it's heading out incredibly fast this year. Once it reaches the head stage it's very fragile so we don't want to walk through it to recover rockets.
On top of this the folks at Bayboro got bumped by early planting as well, so the only going concern as of now is Rocketry South Carolina in Dalzell.
It turns out that they are flying this weekend, May 4th & 5th. Then again on June 8th & 9th. The schedule is here: https://www.rocketrysouthcarolina.org/pages/2024LaunchSchedule/
(I thought they weren't flying until next weekend, sorry)
So if you've a hankerin' to go flyin' it looks like tomorrow (!) or the 2nd w'end in June.
