ROCC 11/22 & 23 update as of Thursday 11/20

Please note: Due to the fickle changing weather/winds forecast & lack of rain we are going to NOT LAUNCH on Saturday.  Sunday the 23rd is a GO however.

As you all know we've been in and out of burning bans for the last month or so. We've been watching the weather all week, on Sunday it was going to be beautiful, then by Tuesday eve it was looking like thunderstorms and a decent chance of rain on Friday evening and into Saturday, now it's supposed to be clear but quite windy on Saturday with essentially no chance of rain. Ralph is out at the farm today (Thursday) mowing and the thatch and grass is dry as a tinder out there, so that, combined with the higher winds on Saturday, we feel it would be safer to wait until Sunday where the wind is supposed to be down around 5 MPH and would offer us a much better chance of containment should we have a CATO and start a fire. If we'd be sure about getting some rain on Friday it would make it a lot safer dealing with the high winds.

So, just to recap... NO flights on Saturday 11/22, YES to flying on Sunday the 23rd.
