ROCC 2024-2025 Launch Schedule:

All launches are at the Midland, NC site unless otherwise stated.*

Here are some other launch opportunities in our area:

ICBM & ROSCO, better known as Rocketry South Carolina, flies near Dalzelle, SC., Just NE of Shaw AFB.  More information can be gotten at their site HERE

The Saturn Rocketry Club in Hendersonville is currently switching their launch field. As soon as we know where they land we will post it. Their FB site is HERE

NC Rocketry flies at Bayboro, NC in the northeast part of the state, information is HERE

Set-up starts at about 9:30, launches commence about 10:30. Field closes about 60 min. before local dusk so we can clean up. Watch the site front page for specifics. Also visit us on FaceBook. You can also check for the FAA NOTAM at https://notams.aim.faa.gov/notamSearch/nsapp.html#/ and using KCLT (Charlotte) as the location. This will give you the starting and ending times for HP flights.

* If field is available due to crops, etc.

December Rocket Launch is a GO!

The December 18 th and 19 th, Launch is a go for the Farm. I spoke to Mrs.
Williams tonight and she says we are GO!
Kip was out and about, I take that as good news.
The house/bathroom will not be open and they will probably have the water off anyway due to the cold.
I will proceed with trying to fiNd a source for a port-a-potty for next year.
*Larry Barker had a source for one last spring I will follow up with him.

I polled some of our avid volunteers and they agreed that we should start the launch at 11:00AM to extend the day. So we will be running the launch from 11:00AM to 5:00PM each day.
There will be no vendor on site as of this time, I will try to call Larry Smith at Rocket Science in Lexington SC to see if he can come up.

I am trying to secure some more KITS to give away, we will have a drawing from the flight cards to see who wins. It will be like Christmas for some lucky folks. If anyone would like to donate a kit, please do so.

Also, I will have a Christmas Card for everyone to sign for the Williams family, so please come and sign please.

I know everyone gets busy this time of the year but try to make it out if you can. We need as many people as we can to make our flyer fee goal. At least try to make it out for a little bit. Remember our "recomended" donation is $8.00-$10.00 per flyer per day, families with lots of young flyers maybe a $10.00 donation would be good. Again, these are recommendations not a hard rule.
And we will be continuing the ROCC club membership drive, Jrs- $5, Srs- $10, Family- $15. And a $20 membership comes with a ROCC "T" shirt. "T"s are $13 seperatly.

I'll have some additional announcements later this week. A few safety
concerns have come up and I want to send everyone a revised safety rule sheet before the next launch just to remind everyone how to conduct themselves at our rocket launch.

Thanks,
Ralph Roberts
