Upcoming Launch Schedule

ROCC 2025-2026 Launch Schedule:

THERE ARE NO CURRENT LAUNCH DATES SCHEDULED FOR MIDLAND.

All launches are at the Midland, NC site on the 3rd weekend of the month unless otherwise stated.*

Here are some other launch opportunities in our area:

ICBM & ROSCO, better known as Rocketry South Carolina, flies near Dalzelle, SC., Just NE of Shaw AFB on the 2nd weekend of the month.  More information can be had at their site HERE

The Saturn Rocketry Club in Hendersonville is currently switching their launch field. As soon as we know where they land we will post it. Their FB site is HERE

NC Rocketry flies at Bayboro, NC in the northeast part of the state, information is HERE

 Set-up starts at about 9:30, launches commence about 10:30. Field closes about 60 min. before local dusk so we can clean up. Watch the site front page for specifics. Also visit us on FaceBook. You can also check for the FAA NOTAM at https://notams.aim.faa.gov/notamSearch/nsapp.html#/ and using KCLT (Charlotte Intl.) as the location. This will give you the starting and ending times for HP flights.

Two Launches This Month

Everyone:

We will have two launches this month.

The corn and Milo are cleared and we are go for launch.

First - Oct 15th (this Sunday) 12:00-7:00 - One day event
Tune up launch, equipment checkout, NAR Contest preactice rounds.
One note - No Porta John - still working on getting this done.

Second - Oct 28th and 29th 12:00-7:00 both days. - Two day event.
Ken Allen from Performance hobbies will be here on the 29th.
NAR contest this weekend.
Camping is allowed, if you want to.

Random Duration - Weighting Factor 10
Super-Roc Duration "A" Motors - Weighting Factor 13
Egg Loft Duration "C" Motors - Weighting Factor 16

We will provide a $10.00 gift card from HOBBYTOWN,USA for each contest and NAR ribbons and points will be awarded.

Doc already has some info on the website with pictures of plans soon, you can look them up in the NAR Contest book on the NAR website WWW.NAR.ORG

John - Go ahead and secure the waivers for both weekends and let me know ASAP.

Plus - Also see the NAR and TRIPOLI websites as there is an important announcement from HQ. It requires a letter writing campaign that is due by Nov 9th.
