Upcoming Launch Schedule

ROCC 2024-2025 Launch Schedule:

NO launch in May due to the wheat. We hope to fly in June.

All launches are at the Midland, NC site unless otherwise stated.*

Here are some other launch opportunities in our area:

ICBM & ROSCO, better known as Rocketry South Carolina, flies near Dalzelle, SC., Just NE of Shaw AFB.  More information can be gotten at their site HERE

The Saturn Rocketry Club in Hendersonville is currently switching their launch field. As soon as we know where they land we will post it. Their FB site is HERE

NC Rocketry flies at Bayboro, NC in the northeast part of the state, information is HERE

Set-up starts at about 9:30, launches commence about 10:30. Field closes about 60 min. before local dusk so we can clean up. Watch the site front page for specifics. Also visit us on FaceBook. You can also check for the FAA NOTAM at https://notams.aim.faa.gov/notamSearch/nsapp.html#/ and using KCLT (Charlotte) as the location. This will give you the starting and ending times for HP flights.

* If field is available due to crops, etc.

Vendor Update for Launches this weekend

Everyone:

As of Thursday night the Vendor schedule is as follows:

Ken Allen - Performance Hobbies - Saturday only
Brent Johnson - Hobbytown USA - Sunday only
Tim Durbin - New Giant Leap Rocketry Rep - both days.
Tim, who joined our club last year has taken on the task to be a rep for Giant Leap Rocketry, he got his L1 at the Freedom launch with his first HP rocket and is excited about flying and selling, good luck to him, he has more time than me. He has received his first shipment of stuff and may have more tomorrow. Contact him at tdurbinglr@starband.net for your Giant Leap stuff.

Marcus Harman, a long time member of ROCC will have some of his old stuff for sale, I think he will be out Sunday, he is scaling back for his final year of college. Maybe you can help him out too.
>From Marcus's email:
Also, I'm bringing a ton of my old rocket stuff including a PET2
Timer, a Maxi Honest John, and a bunch of parts to sell. Chris
Hamilton gave me a bunch of his stuff to sell, too...including some
RMS 18mm loads. It will be a "you name the price" kind of deal. I
just want to get rid of it.

Hope you all can support all our vendors this weekend. It is great to have them but we need to support them as well. It would be a good time to stock up on goods.

Thanks,
Ralph
